Using student-centered instruction can challenge expectations about teaching and learning held by students and their families. Thus, it is important to bring parents alongside us as we incorporate best practices such as problem- or project-based learning, student exploration, and collaborative group work. In this session, we will share strategies we've used to help families transition to new classroom norms and expectations for learning, and discuss together how we can partner with parents during times of change in our schools.
