Flipped classroom is an instructional strategy that “reverses” the traditional educational procedure. Although there are various forms of flipped instruction, the basic concept is that the students watch the “lectures” online outside of the classroom, then engage in activities and complete the “homework” in the classroom under the guidance of the instructor. This session will touch on the pros and cons of the flipped classroom and will focus on how to actually set up and administer this instructional technique for high school science classes.
